Nekton Rep Electrolyte

NEKTON-Rep Electrolyte is an electrolyte mixture specially developed to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance in reptiles. The body fluid of reptiles consists largely of water and certain salts - electrolytes. Electrolytes are minerals that are electrically charged as soon as they are dissolved in a liquid. The most important electrolytes in the body include the positively charged cations sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, as well as the negatively charged anions chloride, bicarbonate and phosphate.

These electrolytes help regenerate nerve and muscle function and keep acid-base and water balance stable. Many reptiles suffer from chronic dehydration, which is caused by dry housing conditions, insufficient drinking, low fluid intake or illness-related fluid loss due to diarrhea or blood loss.
